A motor vehicle accident in Smyrna, Georgia Saturday, September 10, 2019, injured a young girl and her Aunt.

As reported by Fox5Atlanta.com, “[t]he crash happened Saturday morning on South Cobb Drive near Lois Street.”

A driver crossed the roadway, struck a car, then slammed head on into the car with the young girl inside, per the report.

According to the report, “Erica Miller told FOX 5 her eight-year-old daughter Sameg suffered severe head trauma and a damaged spine.

The young girl was taken to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite in critical condition.

NewbernSJ.com is reporting the young girl “was traveling with her aunt, Kiameshya Miller, who also sustained injuries including both of her legs broken from the head on collision.

The investigation is ongoing.

A motor vehicle accident in Dawsonville, Georgia Monday morning, September 9, 2019, injured two people.

As reported by AJC.com, the accident happened on Ga. 53 west of Lake Lanier, the highway was shut down between Dawson Forest and War Hill Park roads.

A truck carrying mining explosives overturned on the highway.

According to the report, “[a] Buick sedan sideswiped the truck…[t]he Buick then sideswiped a Nissan Versa following behind the truck before colliding with a Dodge Charger.”

Two men were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with minor injuries.

The driver of the Buick was arrested on multiple charges, according to the report.

A pedestrian accident injured a student walking to school Friday morning, September 6, 2019.

As reported by 11Alive.com, “[a]t 8:14 a.m., Atlanta police officers responded to the incident at 2495 Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway, NW.”

According to the report, “a 14-year-old was struck by a car while walking to school Friday morning in northwest Atlanta.”

The child struck was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in serious condition, per the report.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
