Calhoun, GA – A motor vehicle accident Tuesday morning, May 14, 2025, left three people fatally injured.

As reported by 41NBC.com, “[a]ccording to the Georgia State Patrol, the incident began when a tractor-trailer collided with a Hyundai Sonata in the northbound lanes of I-75 in Gordon County. The impact caused the tractor-trailer to cross the median and enter the southbound lanes, where it collided with two other 18-wheelers, a Toyota Corolla, and a Ford Ranger.”

According to the report, “[e]mergency responders rushed to the scene, and a total of six vehicles were involved in the crash.”

Local3News.com is reporting, “Manuel Mijango, 68, of McDonough, William West, 50, of Lafayette, and Christopher Powell, 23, of Okeechobee, Florida, [all perished] in the wreck.”

The investigation is ongoing.
