A motor vehicle accident tragically claimed the life of Arthur Rhoades and caused life-threatening injuries to one other Thursday, February 7, 2019 according to published reports.

According to MyMCR.net, “[a]t approximately 11:35am on Thursday…the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office received an emergency phone call regarding an accident that occurred at the intersection of Highway 74 and Dyas School Road.” Two vehicles and a motorcycle were apparently involved in the incident. 41NBC.com is reporting that “an SUV…rear-ended a car… causing [that] car to spin into a motorcycle and sidecar.”  The report further suggests that “[Mr.] Rhoades, who was driving the motorcycle, was ejected [and]…[h]is wife, who was riding in the sidecar, is in critical condition.”

WGXA.tv is reporting that he accident is still under investigation and “charges…are pending.”
