Was This Stone Mountain Nightclub Shooting Preventable?

A 27-year-old man was reportedly shot and injured at the Partyroom nightclub in Stone Mountain Friday, March 17, 2017.

According to The AJC, gunfire erupted “outside Partyroom, a Memorial Drive nightclub near Stone Mountain,” shortly before 4:00 a.m. An “argument inside the location” appears to have spilled outside and erupted into violence. The victim was transported to hospital with “critical injuries.”

16-year-old Micah Durdan was reportedly shot and killed at the Biscayne Apartments in Atlanta Monday afternoon, April 3, 2017.

According to The AJC, the young victim “was killed about 4:30 p.m. Monday inside the Biscayne Apartments on the 5400 block of Old National Highway.” Tragically, Mr. Durdan succumbed to fatal injuries.

The apartment complex was apparently the subject of a robbery-shooting investigation in May 2012, per CBS 46 reports.

21-year-old Karl M. Kelly, Jr., of Augusta, GA, was reportedly shot and killed in a South Carolina gas station shooting Monday morning, March 27, 2017.

According to News 2, the shooting occurred “at a gas station in Beech Island.” WRDW reports, Mr. Kelly was struck by gunfire while “seated in a vehicle.” Tragically, he was transported to Augusta Medical University Center, where he later succumbed to fatal injuries.
