As reported by AugustaChronicle.com, “[a]n Augusta woman was the victim of a fatal hit-and-run incident late Thursday. Renay Brown, 45, a pedestrian, was struck by a vehicle on the 900 block of Horseshoe Road at about 9 p.m. Thursday.”

WRDW.com is reporting, “Brown was transported to an area hospital, where she died due to her injuries.”

According to the report, “[s]he was pronounced dead at 9:38 p.m., according to the coroner’s office. An autopsy has been scheduled. The vehicle involved, which fled from the scene prior to deputies’ arrival, is unknown.”

Hephzibah, GA – A motor vehicle hit-and-run pedestrian accident Monday afternoon, May 12, 2025, left one man fatally injured.

As reported by WRDW.com, “[a]round 2 p.m., deputies say they went to the intersection of Windsor Springs Road and Cross Creek Road in reference to a hit and run. On scene, deputies say they found a male pedestrian lying in the roadway.”

TheAugustaPress.com is reporting, “[t]he victim, identified as Taveon Wright, was [unable to survive his inquires as reported by] the Richmond County Coroner’s Office.”

According to WJBF.com, “[t]he Richmond County Sheriff’s Office states that the driver…left the scene of the accident and parked her vehicle at Fire Station 18 before attempting to run away on foot. Deputies apprehended [the driver] and she was taken into custody.”

As reported by Macon.com, “[a] 9-year-old girl on a bike was hit by an SUV in Byron Wednesday…Officers said they were dispatched to the collision around 5:30 p.m. on Murdock Lane in a quiet neighborhood….”

WGXA.tv is reporting, “[o]n the scene, officers found the nine-year-old bicyclist and took her to the Children’s Hospital in Macon where she [sadly was unable  to survive here injuries].”
