A pedestrian accident claimed the life of a young man Friday morning, April 26, 2019. According to, “[t]he fatal crash happened Friday morning around 9 when Vincent left his home on Campbellton Road in southwest Atlanta and walked to a nearby store with his cousin.”  Kimonte Vincent’s cousin was next to Kimonte when the accident happened and in an interview with, the cousin said “I was shocked. My first thing was to stop all cars that was coming making sure no one ran over him. The only person who didn’t pull over to the side was the driver that initially did the hitting, he kept going,”  A witness who spoke with said “he chased the driver down Campbellton Road about a mile, he pulled up to him, let him know he saw the crash and took down his license plate…[h]e said that’s when the driver returned to the scene.”

Police have not made any charges as of yet according to the media report.
