An accident involving a vehicle injured a pedestrian Monday night, May 27, 2019. According to AJC.com, “[t]he collision happened just before midnight on Holcomb Bridge Road near Crooked Creek Road in Peachtree Corners.”  When officers arrived on the scene, they found Maliqua Johnson “suffering from visible injuries,” according to GwinnettDailypost.com.  Ms. Johnson was taken to a local hospital.  AJC.com is reporting “Maliqua Johnson was crossing the road outside a crosswalk when she was hit by a vehicle traveling south…[t]he driver, believed to be in a newer-model red Hyundai Sonata, left the scene without helping the woman or calling 911.”

Gwinnett Police are looking for help in identifying the car or driver.

A pedestrian accident claimed the life of a man early Sunday morning, May 26, 2019. According to 11Alive.com, “Jose Ramirez Labra, 27, was killed in a hit and run accident early Sunday while he was walking along Dahlonega Highway.”  Forsythnews.com is reporting, “[Mr.] Ramirez had left a home located near Dahlonega Highway and Sawee Drive and was walking north along Dahlonega Highway when he was struck and killed. They say they believe that he was hit by a motorcycle which then left the scene.”  According to the report, “a black and green Kawasaki Z-1000 motorcycle was found parked alongside the roadway…the rider left the scene and is being sought by authorities.”

The investigation is ongoing according to media report.

Could the death from a shooting at an Atlanta restaurant and lounge have been prevented and are justice and compensation available to the family of John David Price II?

Gunfire rang out at an Atlanta, Georgia restaurant and Lounge early Saturday morning, May 25, 2019, leaving one man dead and 2 others injured.  According to WSBtv.com, “[t]he shooting happened Saturday at the Atlantis Restaurant and Lounge off Piedmont Circle Northeast as the lounge was starting to close.”  11Alive.com is reporting, “a male got into a dispute with lounge staffers over the price of admission. At some point, the male pulled out a handgun and began shooting.”  Two other people were shot and treated for injuries according to the report.  The deceased male victim was an employee and identified as “John David Price II, 42,” according to WSBtv.com

Police continue to search for the suspect according to the media reports.
