A motor vehicle accident involving a vehicle and a tour bus left two people dead and three others injured Sunday morning, June 16, 2019.

According to WSPA.com, “The wreck happened at the intersection of GA-77 and GA-59 around 6 a.m.”  FoxCarolina.com is reporting, “a Ionosphere Tour Bus crashed into the side of a Jeep Liberty that failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection.”  Per the WSPA.com report, “[t]he driver of the bus, 76-year-old James Patrick, and the front passenger in the Jeep, 18-year-old Morgan Wilson, were killed in the crash.” The driver of the Jeep and two other passengers in the Jeep were also taken to the hospital with injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
