Was negligent security a factor in this shooting? Read Our Legal Take below to find out if the victim’s family may have legal avenues for justice and claims for substantial compensation in Georgia

Our Legal Take

Hotel guests have a right to feel safe and secure while on the premises. The Murray Law Firm questions the level of security provided at the property and whether this tragedy may have been prevented.

  • Have there been prior incidents of violence on or near property?
  • What security measures, such as guarded entry, guest screening, bright lighting, monitored surveillance cameras, and visible security personnel, were in place to deter crime and protect Mr. Bryant at the time of the shooting?

By law, property owners in Georgia are required to protect all those legally on the premises from any foreseeable harm.  Should the facts of this matter reveal that the hotel owner or management failed to provide adequate security, the family of Dennis Bryant may seek justice and elect to pursue legal claims for his wrongful death.

Savannah News

39-year-old Samuel Padilla and 27-year-old Paulina Corral were injured in a Savannah car accident December 14, 2018.

According to WSAV 3, “a VW Jetta, which was driven by Paulina Corral…was traveling north on Abercorn Street when it struck the front tire area of a Jeep Wrangler that had just made a U-turn from southbound to northbound Abercorn Street at the Lewis Drive intersection. The Jetta continued to travel north where it left the road and struck a tree on the east side of the street.”

Ms. Corral and her passenger, Samuel Padilla, were transported to the hospital with injuries. The other driver was reportedly uninjured.

Our Legal Take

As the details of this accident continue to develop, and should the driver of the Jeep Wrangler be found at-fault, Mr. Padilla and Ms. Corral may elect to file civil claims for their injuries.

Based upon its experience and success handling motor vehicle accident claims in Georgia, The Murray Law Firm suggests that Mr. Padilla and Ms. Corral retain an experienced personal injury firm to protect their interests and ensure an unbiased investigation. Photographs of the vehicles and roadways involved and a review of traffic surveillance footage will need to be performed immediately before any evidence is damaged or destroyed.
