Could This Decatur Shooting Have Been Prevented and Is Justice Available to the Victim?

A 34-year-old woman was reportedly shot and injured outside an Atlanta liquor store Monday night, April 9, 2018.

According to the AJC, gunfire occurred “outside a Flat Shoals Road liquor store” shortly before 11:30 p.m. The victim was” transported from Eddie’s Package Store to the hospital Monday night, but was expected to survive” according to the news story.  Per a Decatur Patch report, police are still searching for the gunman who apparently fled “in a white truck.”
