Atlanta, GA – Gunfire rang out at an apartment complex Monday night, July 6, 2026, leaving a young woman dead.

As reported by CBSnews.com, “[a]uthorities say officers were called to the Colonial Square Apartments on the 2600 block of Old Hapeville Road SW after receiving reports of a person shot.”

According to the report, “[a]t the scene, officers learned that a woman had been taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment in a private vehicle.”

Fox5Atlanta.com is reporting, “[s]taff treated the individual, but police confirmed the victim succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.”
