Gunfire erupted at an Atlanta, Georgia gas station early Wednesday morning, Nov 1, 2023, leaving one man dead.

As reported by AtlantaPD.org, “[o]n November 1, 2023, at approximately 4:11 a.m., Atlanta Police Zone 3 officers responded to a report of a person shot at 1683 Lakewood Ave.”

Fox5Atlanta.com is reporting, “Atlanta police say officers found a man, later identified by family members as George Zachary Andrews, at the scene suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died.”

The investigation is ongoing.

As reported by Fox5Atlanta.com, “[o]fficials say the shooting happened right around midnight at the Exxon on the 300 block of Boulevard.”

According to the report, “[investigators] have confirmed…that two people have been shot.”

As reported by Fox5Atlanta.com, “[a] 36-year-old woman was shot shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday at a gas station at 1683 Lakewood Ave. SE.”

AtlantaNewsFirst.com is reporting, “[n]ear 4 a.m., the victim told police they overheard two men arguing at an Amoco off Lakewood Avenue SE. Then one of the men reportedly started shooting, hitting the 36-year-old woman. The intended target wasn’t hit.”
