A motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles left one woman dead and two others injured, Saturday afternoon, June 29, 2019.

According to 11Alive.com, the accident happened on “Georgia Highway 51 near Parsons Circle in Banks County at about 3:20 p.m.”  A Cadillac SUV crossed the centerline and slammed into a Ford 500 passenger car according to the report. The driver of the Cadillac was ejected from the SUV and pronounced dead at the scene.  AccessWDUN.com is reporting, “the driver of the Ford, Jessica Smith, 22, [of] Lula, was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.”  A passenger in the Ford, “Joseph Armour, 34, also of Lula, and a four-month-old were also taken to the hospital ‘to be checked out.'”

The accident is under investigation.
