A motor vehicle pedestrian accident in Austell, Georgia Tuesday night, January 14, 2019, tragically claimed the life of one person.

As reported by 11Alive.com, “it occurred at about 7:47 p.m. on Riverside Parkway north of Premier Lane. ”

According to the report, “[a] light-colored car was traveling south on Riverside Parkway in the left lane…[t]he pedestrian, identified by police as Jasper Arnold, stepped in front of the car as he was walking across the roadway. The car struck Arnold, and continued southward on Riverside Parkway without stopping.”

AJC.com is reporting, the driver of the vehicle was identified and located and “was arrested in the death of Jasper Arnold…[i]n addition to hit-and-run, [the driver] is charged with driving with a suspended license.”
