A motor vehicle accident involving one vehicle and a moped resulted in a loss of life Wednesday night, May 29, 2019.  According to AJC.com, “[a] person on a moped was killed Wednesday night when a car jumped a median and hit the scooter head-on.” “The collision happened in the 600 block of Hambrick Road, just south of Memorial Drive outside the city of Pine Lake,” according to the report.  The moped driver was pronounced dead at the scene.  11Alive.com is reporting, “[t]he owner of the vehicle was detained at the scene and interviewed by investigators.”  There is no word on any pending charges.

The crash is still under investigation.
