A motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles in Douglasville, Georgia Thursday, April 2, 2020, caused the loss of one driver and injured a toddler.

As reported by, “[t]he crash took place about 5 p.m. on Riverside Parkway near Roberts Road. The incident killed Katelyn Keith, 22, of Lithia Springs, whose young child was in the backseat of her vehicle during the wreck. The child, 1-year-old Zion Keith, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”

According to the report, “[a driver] is accused of using his cellphone during the wreck and crossing the center line and turn lane, crashing head-on into [Katelyn] Keith’s car.” is reporting, the driver was charged with “felony vehicular homicide, reckless driving, failure to use due care and failure to maintain lane in the accident.”

According to the media reports, a GoFundMe page has been set up for the toddler.
