A teen was shot at an Augusta, Georgia gas station Thursday afternoon, June 1, 2023.

As reported by WFXG.com, “[t]he Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting of a 15-year-old at the [gas station] on Windsor Spring Road. Deputies say the call came in at 4:14 p.m. Thursday in reference to a shooting.”

According to the report, “[o]nce on the scene, RCSO says it found the victim who had been shot at least once.”

AugustaChronicle.com is reporting, “Jordon Gaynor, 15, of Augusta, was fatally shot Thursday…Richmond County Coroner pronounced Gaynor dead at 6:10 p.m.”

According to WRDW.com, “[this] was the second fatal shooting in the past year at the [gas station].”

The investigation is ongoing.
